rtCamp is looking for a Content Marketing Lead who can elevate our brand narrative, strengthen our authority in the WordPress and open-source software ecosystem for the enterprise market, and build a content engine that consistently drives qualified demand.
This role is ideal for someone who deeply understands WordPress, enterprise digital experience challenges, and content-led growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Brand Positioning & Narrative Leadership:
- Understand rtCamp’s positioning in the enterprise WordPress market—performance, engineering quality, managed services, and platform capabilities.
- Build and maintain a consistent narrative across blogs, case studies, landing pages, videos, and thought leadership.
- Ensure all content reinforces rtCamp as a premium WordPress engineering partner trusted by global enterprises.
- Content Strategy, Planning & Editorial Leadership:
- Plan content across TOFU–MOFU–BOFU based on SEO opportunities, competitive insights, and buyer pain points.
- Build and own the editorial calendar for WordPress-focused content (technical blogs, case studies, migration guides, performance pieces, growth engineering content, etc.).
- Create detailed outlines for writers and ensure drafts adhere to SEO + editorial guidelines.
- Review and refine content before publishing - ensuring clarity, accuracy, and strategic alignment.
- SEO-Driven Content Growth:
- Partner closely with SEO specialists to meet organic visibility and ranking goals specifically around WordPress enterprise keywords.
- Develop pillar + cluster content strategies on topics like performance, headless WordPress, decoupled architectures, WordPress for media, WordPress migrations, WordPress DevOps, AI in WordPress etc.
- Integrate SEO/AEO requirements in to content and deliver search intent fulfillment.
- Continuously optimize existing content to improve rankings, authority, and conversions.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration (Sales, Delivery, Client Teams):
- Work with sales and client delivery teams to understand key buyer conversations, objections, and narratives that influence enterprise decisions.
- Convert these insights into content topics, messaging angles, and editorial priorities.
- Support sales with well-positioned content that reduces friction in the buying journey.
- Editorial Governance & Quality Control:
- Define and implement writing guidelines for WordPress-first content.
- Maintain consistency in tone, accuracy, and quality across all writers and contributors.
- Guide, mentor, and review work from writers, publishers and designers.
Must Haves

- 6–12 years in content marketing, editorial strategy, or B2B tech storytelling.
- Experience working at or with enterprise WordPress agencies.
- Deep understanding of WordPress, its ecosystem, enterprise use cases, technical concepts, and real-world implementations.
- Strong experience writing and editing technical content—performance, security, engineering workflows, platform architecture, migrations, DevOps, etc.
- Ability to build SEO-aligned content plans and achieve measurable keyword + traffic goals.
- Proven experience collaborating with SEO, sales, engineering, and delivery teams.
- Exceptional writing and editing capabilities.
Good-to-Haves
- Familiarity with hosting platforms (Pantheon, WPVIP, Altis, WordPress.com, etc.).
- Understands North American market.
- Understanding of enterprise search behavior and ICP-specific pain points.
- Knowledge of analytics tools like GSC, GA4, Looker Studio.
- Experience managing content teams or external contributors.
